Microneedling

Microneedling is a nonsurgical skin treatment with little to no downtime that can provide lasting results. Also known as a collagen-induction therapy, microneedling penetrates the skin’s surface with fine needles that address fine lines, wrinkles, skin tone changes like age spots and melasma, large pores, sagging skin, and scars from acne or injuries. Microneedling is available with or without LED light therapy, and cost-saving packages are available.

Microneedling creates micro channels in the skin which triggers collagen production and healing. It also increases product absorption exponentially. Due to the micro trauma from this procedure, microneedling can only be done once every four weeks. Expect to do at least three sessions.

Nanoneedling is very gentle, doesn’t pierce the skin, and can be done more frequently. It also doubles your product and serum absorption. This is a good technique for more sensitive patients and can be done between microneedling sessions.

How is Microneedling related to acupuncture?

Microneedling is a spring-loaded device that uses a needle shape very similar to the ‘spade needle’ — one of the original nine needles described in Chapter 1 of the Spiritual Pivot (2 BCE) and on which the Plum Blossom therapy is based.

Who is microneedling for?

Microneedling is for any adult who wants to increase their skin’s collagen production and reduce fine lines, wrinkles, acne or other scars, brown spots, and currently have no active infections, fevers, or rashes. It is also a good alternative to other treatments due to its long-lasting effects.

Is microneedling right for you?

This is a low risk treatment, but if you are actively managing eczema, lupus, vitiligo, rosacea, undergoing chemotherapy or other cancer treatments, or pregnant or nursing, we recommend discussing microneedling with your doctor to determine if it is safe for you. If you have a tendency toward cold sores, microneedling may trigger an outbreak. Consult with your doctor to discuss antiviral therapy before you begin a series of microneedling treatments.

How much does it cost?
